The Pointer Sisters took the video era by storm in the '80's and over their 35 year career they've made countless television appearances. Their long-time producer Richard Perry was quoted as saying "It's rare that successful recording stars fulfill their potential as much in the visual medium as they do through their music. Their video performances, like their recordings, are consistently filled with sensuality, spontaneity and fun."

"Pointer TV" is a new feature on this website that will spotlight various Pointer video clips, including live performances and interviews.

1991 USO Tour with Bob Hope

In 1991 The Pointer Sisters traveled to the Persian Gulf with Bob Hope, Ann Jillian, Marie Osmond and Bob's wife, Delores Hope. They performed several shows for U.S. Troops on ships and secret bases. The above performance aired on the ABC television special "Welcome Home". Side note: Prior to leaving there was a lot of discussion about what would be acceptable attire for Ruth, Anita and June - they made sure they respected the culture and covered up!
